WE ARE OFFICIALLY A PLATINUM SCHOOL GAMES MARK SCHOOL!

The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Participating in this process allows schools to evaluate our PE provision and assists us in developing an action plan for future progress. Our very own Mrs Heyworth has done an amazing job, with the support of our committed staff, parent and governor team in offering as many sporting opportunities as possible for our children! Our children have been brilliant in their enthusiasm and participation in all the varied sports our school has to offer. Mrs Dixon (PE governor) and Mrs Riaz have supported the development of our active minutes through their daily mile work too and a big thank you, our parents, as you are always amazingly generous with your time and petrol. For a small school, it is a real accolade to achieve the ultimate level of Platinum for our sports provision. A huge thank you to the Balderstone team, including our sports coaches for all your hard work!
