We believe in building a strong partnership with parents so we can work together to make the best provision for each child. In our school our vulnerable children and adults are referred to as our 'valuable' children, in line with our Christian mission of loving each other as precious children of God.

    Special educational needs and disabilities - local offer The local offer brings together information for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their families.

  • Blackburn and Darwen Local Offer
    Welcome to Blackburn with Darwen’s Local Offer, an online resource that details services, support and guidance available to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) aged 0 – 25 and their families.

  • Lancashire FIND
    The FIND database includes information about disabled children and young people up to 25 years old in Lancashire. Newsletters are written 4 times a year and can be found on the link .

  • The Early Help Assessment and Plan (EHA/EHP)
    The Early Help Assessment and Plan (EHA/EHP) is an 'assessment and planning tool'. It is used to support children with significant and complex additional needs who need specialist support from across education, health and social care.

  • Independent Parental Special Education Advice (IPSEA)
    Independent Parental Special Education Advice offers free and independent legally based information, advice and support to help get the right education for children and young people with all kinds of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We also provide training on the SEND legal framework to parents and carers, professionals and other organisations.

  • Lancashire SEND Partnership
    The Lancashire SEND Partnership brings together all the agencies in Lancashire which provide special educational needs and disability (SEND) services for children, young people, their parents and carers, with representatives from those who use the service.

  • Lancashire SEND Information, Advice and Support Service
    Lancashire SEND Information, Advice and Support Service is a statutory service which is run at ‘arm’s length’ from the Local Authority and provides free, confidential, impartial advice, guidance and support to parents of children with special educational needs and children and young people with SEND.
